Offering seasonal performances and blooms of every variety imaginable, Longwood Gardens is a must see for all ages. The conservatory welcomes you with a beautiful fragrance from flowers kept in the most pristine condition. Attention to detail is everywhere at Longwood gardens, and the unveiling of a completely renovated fountain section is set to debut in the spring of 2017. Explore, enjoy and learn about the 1,000 acres of gardens, woodlands and meadows rich in history and heritage. Following founder Pierre du Pont’s mission of education, Longwood provides horticultural learning at all levels.
A bustling vibrant town with so much to offer, there is something for everyone in Kennett Square. Enjoy the summer concert series at the beautiful (over 100 acre) Anson B Nixon park. Featuring mostly local talent, the free concert is a great way to unwind mid week with friends. Also, held in May there is the famous “Kennett Run” through the streets of Kennett Square. There is a Kennett Brewfest held each Fall, featuring unlimited tastings of 65+ select brewers pouring seasonal and unique beers. The local art galleries, studios, and boutiques participate in “First Friday” each month - allowing for guests to stroll through and browse the collections on display. Most shops provide a happy hour type atmosphere offering light refreshments on First Friday. During warmer months there is an outdoor farmers market at the Genesis Walkway on State St.
