West Chester Borough is home to The Chester County Hospital, which is ranked number 16 in all of Pennsylvania and number 8 in the Philadelphia area (according to US News and World Report’s Annual Rankings 2015). It is an extension of The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

Also in the borough is West Chester University which is a public institution that was founded in 1871. Offering over 180 graduate and undergraduate programs, West Chester University is committed to high quality education while giving students a “big city little town” feeling.

The Chester County Art Association sponsors exhibits and workshops that are open to everyone. West Chester Railroad tours offer a new prospective on the town’s history with a 90-minute round trip into the past while the American Helicopter Museum brings us into the present.
